    When did St Louis University become a university?

    • It quickly grew to include a college division, and the college was granted university status in 1832. The high school retained the identity of St. Louis Academy on the university campus until 1924 when it moved to its own facilities and incorporated separately under the name of St. Louis University High School.

    When was St Louis Academy founded?

    • Bishop DuBourg opened St. Louis Academy as a school for young men; it subsequently becomes St. Louis College, Saint Louis University and eventually St. Louis University High School. The first school was in a house on Market Street between 2nd & 3rd Streets. The second school, in 1820, was in a house on 2nd Street between Walnut and Market Streets.

    Is Saint Louis University a good school?

    • Overall My experience at Saint Louis University high school has been a good one. Given that it is a PWI SLUH never fails at including others into the school environment and the teachers there are always helpful and very nice. SLUH prepares us as Freshman for college and we are each given a college counselor to help us.
