Harold William Kuhn (July 29, 1925 – July 2, 2014) was an American mathematician who studied game theory. He won the 1980 John von Neumann Theory Prize jointly with David Gale and Albert W. Tucker.
Harold W. Kuhn was a pioneer in optimization theory and game theory, and a renowned teacher and civil rights activist. He taught at Princeton from 1959 to 1995, and co-named the Kuhn-Tucker theorem and the Kuhn-Tucker conditions.
