Mark Stephen Evanier (/ ˈ ɛ v ə n ɪər /; born March 2, 1952) is an American comic book and television writer, known for his work on the animated TV series Garfield and Friends and on the comic book Groo the Wanderer.
Mark Evanier is a writer and producer who created Dungeons & Dragons and Groo the Wanderer. He also worked on Garfield and Friends, Superman: The Animated Series, and other animated and live-action shows.

Mark Stephen Evanier (pronounced ev-uh-near; born March 2, 1952) is an American comic book and television writer. He first worked as an assistant for Jack Kirby as well as writing for various Disney comic books. He later did comics for Looney Tunes, Woody Woodpecker, Scooby-Doo, Tarzan, Korak, and Blackhawk.
