Guild Films produced this continuing story of South Sea trader Captain David Grief (Maxwell Reed) and his search for adventure aboard his 63-foot schooner, the Rattler. He was accompanied by his faithful crew; Boley (former boxer Mickey Simpson) the Bosun’s mate, First Mate, Elihu Snow (Tudor Owen) and Jackie-Jackie (Mel Prestidge).
The captain has good news for Madame Gideaux, stones found at her island plantation are uncut gems, and she can make a fortune, but a murderous bunch of thieves have taken over the estate, holding her and her daughter hostage, and fire on grief and his men as they approach.
In the Solomon Islands, a plantation is about to be visited by the owner's arrogant but naïve college boy son. The overseer wants to send him back immediately, but his old friend Captain Greif and the owner's daughter plan a sham native uprising to scare him away.
