Luke and the Tenderfoot. Top-rated. Sat, Aug 13, 1955. S1.E2. The John Wesley Hardin Story. Luke constantly boasts about the many gunfighters with whom he has been acquainted, so much so that Pete decides he wants to strap on shootin' irons and become gunslinger, too.
When three town toughs attack an old peddler for cheating them, a Eastern tenderfoot comes to aid. When the three toughs turn on the young man, the peddler convinces them that the man the three are attacking is actually the Boston Kid, a well-known prizefighter.

Two episodes were made, The Boston Kid and The John Wesley Hardin Story. The second was actually aired, by CBS in 1963.
