- As Perry's movies go, Meet the Browns is actually less stilted and slightly more inventive, plot-wise. The characters don't speak in cliches as often as they have in the past, and the warmth feels genuine. Ultimately, it's a feel-good film, despite its flaws.

Mar 22, 2008 · “Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns” is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). It has some sexual innuendoes and drug references.
Meet the Browns is a tolerable albeit thoroughly bland effort by Tyler Perry, that manages to touch on sensitive, vital issues in the black community but also shortchange a great deal of those involved in the community into broad forgettable caricatures.
