The sixth season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent premiered on NBC September 19, 2006, and ended May 21, 2007; this was the last season to air original episodes on NBC.
S6.E19 ∙ Rocket Man. A female astronaut is found murdered in her hotel room on the morning of a press conference. The investigation leads to several suspects, including a jealous professional rival, an ex-boyfriend and a married space-shuttle commander (Tate Donovan) with whom the victim was having an affair.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent is a crime drama television series aired on NBC that premiered on September 30, 2001 and concluded on June 26, 2011 on USA Network. Unlike the previous series, CI shows some events from the point of view of those involved in the crime.
As with the original Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, episodes are often loosely based on real crimes that have received media attention, which is also known as being "ripped from the headlines".
Law & Order: Criminal Intent is the only series in the franchise not to air new episodes on NBC as well as being the only series to air new episodes on a cable channel, with episodes premiering on the USA Network from the seventh season. It is also the only series to have completely different main characters credited in various different episodes and not every episode.
The entire series is available for streaming on Peacock in the United States. In Australia, seasons 1-7 are available to stream for free with ads on 7Plus.

Seasons. Law & Order: Criminal Intent 's seasons 1–5 aired on NBC on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. EST. Season 6 aired on NBC on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. EST and the last two episodes in May on Monday nights at 10 p.m. EST. In October 2007, new episodes of season 7 aired on the USA Network on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. EST.
