In 1962, Gleason returned to the tried-and-true variety format with his American Scene Magazine. The official title of the show was, again, The Jackie Gleason Show. American Scene was initially taped in New York City; after two seasons, production moved to Miami Beach (1964), on Jackie's insistence.

Sep 1, 2004 · Jackie Gleason started a new program on CBS-TV on September 29, 1962, called Jackie Gleason's American Scene Magazine. Long time co-star Art Carney appeared that night as good old Ed Norton as well as a new cast of supporting characters, including Frank Fontaine as Crazy Guggenheim and several beautiful Glea girls such as Greta Randall.
