Twelve amateur bakers compete against each other to win the title of Greatest British Baker. Each round sees an aspiring baker eliminated, until finally the winner is selected from the remaining contestants. Their skills on baking essentials like cakes, breads, pastries and desserts are tested in each round, and the difficulty increases as the competition unfolds.
