Self-styled modern-day knights on motorcycles, the CHiPs patrol California's freeways, keeping the urban arteries of the contemporary world safe. After tracking a gang of sports car thieves, Ponch and Jon earn commendations. Ponch also learns his probation period is over.
Sat, Jan 13, 1979. Cahill is critically injured in a multi-vehicle pile-up that claims eleven lives. Ponch and Jon are tapped to serve on the Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team determined to pinpoint the cause and to clear Cahill from blame.
