The Dukes of Hazzard is an American action comedy TV series created by Gy Waldron, that was aired on CBS from January 26, 1979, to February 8, 1985, with a total of seven seasons consisting of 147 episodes.
Bo and Luke are jailed along with another motorist named Tom Colt following a confrontation after a near accident. While in jail, Colt suddenly becomes ill, forcing the local physician to quarantine the jail with the Duke boys, Colt, Boss and Rosco inside.

Plot Summary. The television series The Dukes of Hazzard followed Bo and Luke Duke, two cousins living in an unincorporated area of the fictional Hazzard County, Georgia, racing around in their modified 1969 Dodge Charger, The General Lee, evading corrupt county commissioner Boss Hogg and his inept county sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane.
The adventures of the fast-drivin', rubber-burnin' Duke boys of Hazzard County. Cousins Bo and Luke Duke and their car "General Lee", assisted by Cousin Daisy and Uncle Jesse, have a running battle with the authorities of Hazzard County (Boss Hogg and Sheriff Coltrane), plus a string of ne'er-do-wells often backed by the scheming Hogg.
