Magnum, P.I. is an American action drama television series starring Tom Selleck as Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Hawaii. The series ran on CBS, which broadcast 162 first-run episodes over eight seasons, from December 11, 1980, to May 1, 1988.
The eighth and final series of the crime drama programme Magnum, P.I. which was premiered on 7 October 1987 and concluded on 8 May 1988, consisted of 13 episodes.
Sgt. Michael Doheny (Frank Sinatra), a retired New York cop, learns that his beloved granddaughter was kidnapped and murdered by incredibly vicious sexual predators during his retirement celebration. Doheny eventually tracks the two killers to Hawaii and enlists Magnum's help without telling him why he wants to find the men.
