Street time refers to the credit towards completing a sentence an offender gets while parole. For example: Suzie was sentenced to four years TDCJ for forgery. She was paroled after eleven months. She has credit for those eleven months. She will complete her sentence after she has successfully been on parole for three years and one month.

"Street Time" takes the viewer into the life of the federal parole officer and his/her parolees. Focusing on one of each, a P.O. (Cohen) and an excon (Morrow), both family men with problems, this series is a very smart and powerful uncompromising drama.
