Which is rather astounding as I was a child of the early 60's, but it was never on my radar (pun intentionally unintended), but in light of what "might" be the greatest (mini) TV series of all time..."For all Mankind", it's pretty neat to see how the future was envisioned at the very dawn of the Space Race.

There is now room in the equipment bay for him to stow away on the next flight. But during the 12G takeoff his improvised couch crushes the equipment rack, causing the ship to lose all power before reaching orbit.
