The first season ran for 26 episodes and adapted the manga from the beginning of the first volume to the first chapters of the seventh. Prior to airing, the first five episodes screened theatrically in Japan for two weeks from March 29, 2019, under the title Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kyōdai no Kizuna (鬼滅の刃 兄妹の絆).
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. A family is attacked by demons and only two members survive - Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko, who is turning into a demon slowly. Tanjiro sets out to become a demon slayer to avenge his family and cure his sister.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc (鬼滅の刃 遊郭編, Kimetsu no Yaiba – Yūkaku-hen) premiered with a one-hour special on December 5, 2021, and aired till February 13, 2022. The main staff and cast members from the first season returned to reprise their roles.

A 26-episode anime television series adaptation produced by Ufotable aired from April to September 2019, with a sequel film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, released in October 2020 and became the highest-grossing anime film and Japanese film of all time.
Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.
