Ballroom dancer Rosa Corrigan is found murdered in her home on the night after the start of the annual 'Paramount Dance Extravaganza', apparently a robbery poorly staged as stairs fall. Her brother Duncan is soon afterwards also found murdered, skull-smashed by a sabotaged robot in the research lab of paramount host Andrew Wilder's company.
