Hail and Farewell (Part 1) is the 23rd and final episode of JAG Season 9 and also the 205th episode of the entire JAG series. This episode marks the final appearance of Admiral A.J. Chegwidden.

Hail and Farewell (Part 2) is the first episode of JAG Season 10 and the 206th episode of the entire JAG series. With Admiral Chegwidden having retired, Sturgis becomes Acting JAG while Mac, refusing to accept that Webb is truly dead investigates and discovers some horrifying secrets.
Sturgis is the acting JAG of the Navy, and he keeps everyone busy. Harm reveals the result of Mac's laparoscopy, and Mac and Simon find a murder victim. Mac visits both Kershaw and Clay's mother, then Harm, Mac, and Simon go to Manderley, where Harm finds Webb.
