Twenty-Five Little Pre-Pubers Without A Snoot-ful is the 8th episode of season 1, and the 8th episode overall.
Charlie attends Jake’s class meeting along with other parents and tries to hit on Jake’s teacher. He later finds out that Alan had deliberately brought him along, as he and Judith needed someone with a musical background to volunteer for Jake’s class music show. Alan does so for a chance to win Judith back.
Charlie quits helping Judith and Alan as soon as he can, and the couple pairs up to prepare a song. Then Alan receives some papers from Judith’s lawyers and finds out that she has filed for divorce.
While Alan and Judith argue over their marital problems, Charlie takes over the class' preparation and starts making the students sing jingles.
Alan later tells Jake that he and Judith are separating, and he in return shares his feelings with Charlie. Charlie tells Jake that it is OK to feel sad and that Alan is not showing Jake his true feelings because he wants to protect him from feeling sad. Jake, realizing what his father is sacrificing for him, comforts his father in return.
Charlie, on why he is preparing margaritas for his afternoon with Jake's fourth-grade class.
