Into the Light is the 2nd episode of NCIS Season 17 and the 380th episode of the entire NCIS series.
With their lives in danger, Gibbs and Ziva's rogue investigation takes an unexpected turn when a possible terrorist plot is revealed.
•Ziva is reunited with Gibbs, Jimmy, Leon, Ducky and McGee and meets Bishop, Sloane, Kasie, and Torres for the first time.
•Ziva is revealed to have secretly kept watch over her daughter, but has kept her distance.
•Ziva was revealed to have been in Paraguay during Gibbs and McGee's captivity and attempted to breach them out.
•Ziva is revealed to be aware of Nick's romantic feelings for Ellie and encourages him to confess how he feels about her.
•It's revealed that Ziva's brother Ari was also a member of Sahar's terrorist group, but when he was killed, their group was captured and tortured for years in a POW camp and seek revenge against Ziva since they see her responsible since she killed Ari.
•Sahar tried to convince Ziva to help them, by getting their money and in return Ziva would get her freedom. However, Ziva was playing her the whole time and alerted Interpol, anticipating in part that Sahar would not keep her end of the bargain.
