I can verify that most Americans indeed resent New York city, and detest New Yorkers. To deport them from states they have invaded would be absolutely delightful . Culturally they might as well be in a different country than most Americans.
Why do you “hate” NYC? All New Yorkers will defend the city, and the way of life. However, everyone has their “I hate NY” moment. I hate New York because there’s no space. Can’t breathe without something in your face.
