The Small Business Administration clerk is Irma Austin (Alice Ghostley), quite willing to approve the necessary loan, but lacking the funds for 90 days: "I learned that if you're black and you can't get any green, you wind up in the red!" As talented as JJ is, Lawrence is able to offer him a new career with his firm as junior art director.
