One Armed Bandits is the first episode of the first season of The Dukes of Hazzard. It first aired 26 January 1979 on CBS.
Boss Hogg is planning to have Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane receive a delivery of slot machines. Most of Rosco's pension was defeated in the last bond election in Hazzard County, so Rosco turned bitter and crooked. Now he's up for re-election, against an even more corrupt opponent.
When the slot machines fall into their hands, Bo and Luke plan to distribute the machines to civic clubs and organizations in the area and use their proceeds to help renovate the local orphanage before the health department shuts it down.
