Taiyō Matsumoto (Japanese: 松本 大洋, Hepburn: Matsumoto Taiyō, born October 25, 1967) is a Japanese manga artist.
Taiyou Matsumoto is a mangaka from Tokyo. Originally he wanted to become a famous soccer player, but eventually chose an artistic profession instead. He made his debut in Afternoon, Kodansha's monthly seinen manga magazine, but is probably best known for his works with Kodansha's rival publisher Shogakukan.

Tokyo These Days (Japanese: 東京ヒゴロ, Hepburn: Tokyo Higoro) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Taiyō Matsumoto. It was serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic Original Zōkan from June 2019 to June 2023, with its chapters collected in three wideban volumes.
