Alfred Roberts JP (18 April 1892 – 10 February 1970) was an English grocer, preacher and local politician. He served Grantham as alderman from 1943 to 1952 and mayor from 1945 to 1946. His second daughter, Margaret, was the first female prime minister of the United Kingdom.
Brownlow was Mayor of Grantham from 1934 to 1935. He also served as Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire from 1936 to 1950. During the 1930s, Brownlow was a close friend and equerry to the Prince of Wales, and later Lord-in-waiting when he became King Edward VIII.

Vincent Grantham (by 1496 – 1550), of Goltho and Lincoln, was an English Member of Parliament. He was born the eldest son of Edward Grantham of Lincoln and educated in the Law at Lincoln's Inn (1510). He was elected Mayor of Lincoln for 1527–28 and 1541–42 and a Member (MP) of the Parliament of England for Lincoln in 1529 and 1536.
