Georges Yvan "Géo" André (13 August 1889 – 4 May 1943) was a French track and field athlete and rugby union player. As an athlete he competed at the 1908, 1912, 1920 and 1924 Summer Olympics in various events, including long jump, high jump, 400 m sprint, 110 and 400 m hurdles, pentathlon and decathlon.
À Paris, dans le 16 e arrondissement, à proximité du Parc des Princes et du stade Roland Garros, Géo-André est un complexe sportif multisports et le siège social du Stade Français. De nombreux stades en France portent son nom.
Géo André made his first appearance at the Olympics as an 18-year-old high jumper in 1908. Although his pre-Olympic best was 1.79m, in London he cleared 1.88m and earned a surprise silver medal.

Built in 1964 to organize the "Games of Abidjan", the stadium was formerly known as Stade Andre Geo, and it took the name of the President Felix Houphouet-Boigny after undergoing restoration. Gradually it emerged as the National Stadium, hosting the ASEC Mimosas and Ivorian Soccer Team.
It was named as Stade Géo André, who was a French sportsman killed by German forces during the Tunisian campaign of World War II, before being renamed in honour of Chedly Zouiten, a figure of Tunisian football, after his death in 1963.
