Søborg is a neighbourhood in Gladsaxe Municipality, located some 10 km northwest of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the main town and the administrative seat of Sønderborg Municipality (Kommune). The town has a population of 28,137 (1 January 2023), [1] in a municipality of 74,380. In recent times, Sønderborg is a center for trade, tourism, industry, and education in the region of Southern Denmark.
Søborg er en bydel i Storkøbenhavn beliggende i den sydlige del af Gladsaxe kommune. Kommunen har 70.001 indbyggere (2023) [1]. Bydelen består overvejende af villakvarterer og grænser op til Utterslev Mose i syd og vest, til Vangede i Gentofte Kommune og Emdrup i øst.
The site of its municipal council is the town of Buddinge. Other towns in the municipality are Gladsaxe, Bagsværd, and Mørkhøj ( Søborg is often mentioned wrongly, but it is just a part of Buddinge )—but town limits are not distinguishable because the towns have grown together in an urban sprawl.
