Oct 9, 2017 · Llywelyn Monument. This stone monument stands close to the area where Llywelyn ap Gruffudd is thought to have died on 11th December 1282. Climb down the stairs to see the well, where tradition says Llywelyn's severed head was washed before being sent to Edward I at Rhuddlan Castle.
