Not much remains of Grubenhagen Castle, only the - partly restored to its former 18 metres - keep, an 19th century stable, and traces of the trenches around the outer ward. Nor could I find much reliable information that is supported by more than one source about the place, either. (The keep)

Feb 10, 2023 · The castle dates from the 12th century. After repeated destruction and abandonment of the complex, the Grubenhagen Castle Association was founded in 1982. He now takes care of the historical cultural monument. A really nice place with a fireplace, observation tower and information signs!
