Aug 30, 2023 · Hořovice has a history dating back as far as the 10th century, but its main attraction for visitors today, is its magnificent 18th century chateau and park area. The park is freely accessible year-round, while the interesting chateau interior can be visited on guided tours (usually from April to end of October).
The castle Hořovice is situated in Central Bohemian Region, about 40 km from Prague and 40 km from Pilsen, the highway exit 34. Premises of the chateau currently consist of the building of so-called New Chateau with honest court, farm buildings and a park covering an area of approximately 6.4 ha.
