Midland is a city in and the county seat of Midland County, Michigan, in the United States. The city's population was 42,547 as of the 2020 census. It is the principal city of the Midland Metropolitan Statistical Area, part of the larger Saginaw-Midland-Bay City Combined Statistical Area.
Midland County is located in Michigan. The county's name is due to its closeness to the geographical Lower Peninsula's geographical center. Midland County was founded in 1831. However, it was not until 1855 that the county was officially organized. Midland County has a wealth of recreation opportunities.
