Mulhouse (pronounced ⓘ, in Alsatian Mìlhüsa [mɪlˈhyːsa] (German: Mülhausen [myːlˈhaʊzn̩] ⓘ); meaning "mill house") is a city of the European Collectivity of Alsace (Haut-Rhin department, in the Grand Est region of France), close to the Swiss and German borders.
