Westcliff-on-Sea (often abbreviated to Westcliff, and in the past spelt as Westcliffe-on-Sea) is a suburb of the city of Southend-on-Sea, located within the ceremonial county of Essex, England. It is on the north shore of the lower Thames Estuary, about 34 miles (55 km) east of London.

Westcliff-on-Sea beach is one of my favourites (the other being the Bell Wharf beach in Leigh-on-Sea). We go to the bit by Rossi's parlour and the Arches cafes, as it is really nice and sandy on that stretch.
