Gangnam District (Korean: 강남구; Hanja: 江南區; RR: Gangnam-gu; IPA: [ka̠ŋna̠m.gu]) is one of the 25 districts of Seoul, South Korea. The term Gangnam translates to "South of the River". Gangnam District is the third largest district in Seoul, with an area of 39.5 km 2 (15.3 sq mi).

It has breathtaking skyscrapers with beautiful views, designer brands and shopping, and trendy nightclubs with famous DJs who play in them. Gangnam is the perfect district for those looking to indulge in an upscale life, and also good for those looking for adventure and partying.
- Statue of Gangnam Style. Fittingly, we start with the statue of Gangnam Style, a weird and wonderful Seoul attraction that is a bronze style sculpture located just outside the East Gate of COEX Mall and COEX exhibition centre.
- Starfield COEX Mall. For us, Starfield Mall is definitely one of our favourite shopping experiences in Seoul and this retail nirvana is one of the best shopping malls / centres in Seoul; especially due to the presence of the incredible Starfield Library in the centre of the complex (more on this later).
- Bongeunsa temple. Easily one of the most beautiful temples in Seoul, Bongeunsa is a Buddhist temple that originally dates from the 8th century – although most of the current site dates back from the 20th century as much of it was destroyed during the wars.
- K Star Road (AKA GangnamDol bears) A complete contrast to the aforementioned serene Bongeunsa temple, one of the most frequently visited things to do in Gangnam are the brightly coloured K-pop bears of K Star Road.

Gangnam is actually a district or -gu that is home to Cheongdam-dong, Nonhyeon-dong, Sinsa-dong, and Samseong-dong among other neighborhoods you might already be familiar with. As the district is rather vast, I’ll try to share as much as I can, but do realize, this is a big area to cover.
