Ludwigshafen, officially Ludwigshafen am Rhein (German pronunciation: [ˈluːtvɪçsˌhaːfn̩ ʔam ˈʁaɪn] ⓘ; meaning "Ludwig's Port upon Rhine"), is a city in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, on the river Rhine, opposite Mannheim. With Mannheim, Heidelberg, and the surrounding region, it forms the Rhine Neckar Area.
- Wilhelm-Hack-Museum. Rhineland-Palatinate’s premier modern and contemporary art museum almost leaps out at you in the centre of the city. That’s because on the southeast facade is a vibrant 55 x 10-metre mosaic by none other than Joan Miró.

- Wallfahrtskirche Mariä Himmelfahrt. In the Oggersheim district is an imposing church erected in 1775 in a style combining Baroque and Neoclassicism. The church also incorporates an earlier chapel from 1729, which is based on the Santa Casa in the Italian pilgrimage town of Loreto.
