Swords ( Irish: Sord [N 1] [sˠoːɾˠd̪ˠ] or Sord Cholmcille) in County Dublin, the county town of the local government area of Fingal, is a large suburban town on the east coast of Ireland, situated ten kilometres [10] north of Dublin city centre. It is the eighth largest urban area in Ireland, with a population of 40,776 as of the 2022 census.

Tours are available on request. Located in the centre of the ancient town, Swords Castle contains over 800 years of history.
Swords Castle is an early medieval castle located in Swords, Dublin. Originally built for the Archbishops of Dublin in the early 13th century near the Ward River, some of the castle estate had fallen into disrepair by the 14th and 15th centuries.
