The two animated universes were united in the Superman episode "World's Finest", which tells the story of Batman and Superman's first meeting. The new Batman episodes that began airing in the Fall 1997 season were later released as a DVD box set of Batman: The Animated Series as Volume 4.
Each volume of the series, labelled as "seasons" (like a television series), explores the further adventures of Batman and the Gotham Knights, uncovering secrets and revealing new threats and foes! So I've watched all of the episodes of Superman: The Animated Series leading up to World's Finest, and now I'm unsure of which/how many episodes of The New Batman Adventures I should watch before starting part 1. I've seen various suggestions elsewhere but I figured I'd ask this sub (for obvious reasons).
