Jan 6, 2021 · #1. Just an update on my 87 monte carlo SS aerocoupe LS3 swap. Car is at the shop and engine, transmission, gas tank and steering box removed. Interior removed in prep for tunnel mod. Installed dakota digital gages, fuel tank with in tank fuel pump and rack and pinion have been installed. No photos available yet. 1 user. Supercharged111.

Jul 9, 2010 · Re: LS series engine swap info for the 78-88 G-Body. The truck manifold is tall and required a couple notches in the hood. Some folks suggested lowering themotor more in the engine bay but then oil pan clearance could be an issue.

Dec 13, 2019 · I Just acquired a 87 monte carlo ss. I want to build it as a street car that sees the track 4-5 times a year, but still handles decent. I'm definitely going with an LS swap as i already have a lq9 6.0 and a 4l80e trans. I project this is going to take me 2 years and aprox $25K.
