  7. From Artist’s Website. Alice Adams was born in 1930 and grew up in Jamaica, New York. She graduated with a BFA in painting from Columbia University in 1953. Following graduation, she went to Aubusson, France to study tapestry weaving and design at L'Ecole Nationale d'Art Decoratif.
