Andrew "Andy" Newman (born April 14, 1975) is an American basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Cal State Northridge Matadors men's basketball team. [1] He is the younger brother of Eric Newman.
Andy Newman enters his second season as head men's basketball coach with CSUN in 2024-25. Newman is the eighth head coach in the history of the Matadors. Newman became the winningest first-year head coach in CSUN history in 2023-24 and led the program to its first winning season in 15 years with a 19-15 overall record.
