Arthur Joseph Rooney Jr. (born October 18, 1935 [1]) is an American football executive who is the vice president for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). The son of the team's founder, Art Rooney, he has been employed by the team since the 1961 season.
Art Rooney Jr. was inducted into the Steelers Hall of Honor as a member of the Class of 2018. During Buddy Parker's eight-year reign as the Steelers coach from 1957-64, the team posted five winning seasons while showing a complete disdain for the NFL Draft.
