My stepmom and my dad used to leave Laguna and drive down to Baja quite often. They would find a little town with a little hotel and restaurant(s) and just hang out for a couple of days. They would sit with the desert behind them and the sea in front, and drink these little drinks that are similar to but better than margaritas, served in small chilled glasses, the drink the color of fog. There are two things this drink must have - very good silver tequila, and the liquor of Baja - Damiana - made from the desert herbs and flowers.
