Dark Heaven: Apocalypse (DH:A) is a miniatures game set in the fantasy world of Adon. Players assume the roles of commanders of armies of fantastic races such as humans, vampires, dwarves, elves, etc., fighting among themselves and against the ultimate villains, the Dire-Dead, who are led by the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Dark Heaven: Apocalypse is set in Reaper's expansive setting of Adon, a vast place with dozens of fantastic denizens. The main rulebook/sourcebook gives some details on each, but the world is so big that only sparse details can be given.

Nov 21, 2012 · Dark Heaven Apocalypse. Here's a real blast from the past, one of my old favourite games: Dark Heaven Apocalypse, by Reaper Miniatures. I played this game heavily until I got into Warhammer 6th edition. Rulebook and box it came in. The box also had 8 metal miniatures, quick reference sheet, and a short novel, as well as 2 ten sided dice.
Jul 24, 2005 · Reaper tried to sell DHA as a Mass Battle game. The problem was the rules were more suitable to skirmishes. Imagine 2 blocks of infantry fighting, but you resolved combat for EACH individual fig in the front rank by applying the Warlord support rules to that fig. Lots of counting, bonus adding, etc.

Dark Heaven Apocalypse is a commendable attempt by Reaper Miniatures to create a wargame where you could conceivably use its entire line of miniatures in one battle. The Combat Resolution is quick but unremarkable.
