  2. On 24 November 1991, British musician and Queen frontman Freddie Mercury died from bronchial pneumonia at his home in Kensington. He had exhibited HIV/AIDS symptoms as early as 1982 and was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987. Mercury announced his diagnosis the day before his death, from complications from the disease, at the age of 45.
