   Permalink. Gone Girl is based on convoluted premise: a psychotic plot to frame somebody for your murder. This deranged idea is not popular for movie plots and could have been worth exploring. It was developed much better in the great film noir "Leave her to heaven", where the framing was done in a subtler way.
