Driving to Emerald Lake from Crested Butte. 6 years ago. I want to drive to Emerald lake at the end of June from Crested Butte. I have a chevy Cruz and wasn't sure how the road condition to Emerald lake is. If it's just nothing but potholes, I probably can't do the drive.

This parking area is about 45 minutes from the town of Crested Butte, and you will find it on the right after passing Emerald Lake. It is a large dirt lot with lots of parking spaces.
