The March release debuted at No. 2 in the U.S. (stuck behind the "Titanic" soundtrack) and at No. 1 around the world. It garnered six Grammy nominations (including album and record of the year) and nine MTV Video Music Award nods.

Her voice is impeccable throughout, but it's the album's slinky, rich dance-floor atmospherics that really set things in a new direction, with producer William Orbit giving the trip-hoppy “Frozen” a lush, dramatic feel and the title track its giddy euphoria.
