Jan 21, 2021 · The mall saw a decline after the opening of University Mall in 1980, so Meadowbrook got a bit of a makeover. It was then named Bama Mall and was home to the Bama 6 Cinemas. That's right--there was a movie theater IN the mall.

Located in the McFarland Mall, this opened as the Fox Twin 1 & 2 on February 12, 1969. It was expanded and sub-divided over the years. The Regal Fox 12 Cinemas was closed in September 2004 just prior to the Cobb Hollywood 16 opening. Contributed by Ken Roe.
