Michael Trikilis was was born on July 14, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was an American film and television producer, known mostly for his involvement with Playboy TV. In 1981, Trikilis, along with Hugh Hefner, developed much of the original programming for The Playboy Channel.
Trikilis got his start behind the scenes working on ABC's Wide World of Sports with Andy Sidaris before producing the feature film Stacey (1973), The Death of Ocean View Park (1979) with Martin Landau, and Six Pack (1982) starring Kenny Rogers and Diane Lane.
Trikilis Productions, Inc was founded in 1981 by Michael Trikilis (1949-2019), at the request of Hugh Hefner, as he was launching the Playboy Channel. Trikilis conceptualized the original programming and iconic style of the channel and was the primary supplier of shows.
