He is the only son of noted actress Nutan and Lt. Cdr. Rajnish Bahl, and is a prominent member of the Mukherjee-Samarth family. He got married to actress Aarti Bahl (known as Ekta Sohini ) on 23 April 1992 and they have two children: actress Pranutan Bahl and Krishaa Bahl.
