Library clients are compulsory to obey the Dress Code of The National University of Malaysia. In the library, clients are prohibited from: Smudging/tearing/damaging/ bringing out books, journals and other library materials without permission. Damaging media equipment/ materials. Bringing in foods and flavoured beverages into the library.
The National Library of Malaysia is a Federal Department under the Ministry of Education. It was established by the National Library Act (Act 80) passed on 1 September 1972. In keeping with the development of library and information services in Malaysia this act was subsequently amended in 1987.
This collection consists of materials that are prohibited from distribution by the Malaysian government. However, users can get access to this collection with recommendation letter from their Head of Department. This collection is located at Customer Service Unit, Level 4 of the main library. Reference can be made during office hours only.
